Hearing On Proposed Fare Increase

The City of Fredericksburg will hold a public hearing on proposed fare
changes for FREDericksburg Regional Transit (FRED) during the
May 23, 2017, council meeting to be held at City Hall. The hearing, scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, is an opportunity for the public to comment on the proposed fare changes.

*Persons 65 years of age or older.
*Eligible persons may ride FRED's regular or VRE service for half-fare during ALL hours of operation.
SmartBenefits - Increased Transit Benefits
Some of FRED's VRE feeder service riders have received an increased transit benefit of up to $255 per month (previously $130). This handout is a reminder about FRED’s participation in the SmartBenefits program and how our VRE feeder service customers can allocate a portion of their benefits to cover the cost of their tickets and/or monthly passes.
